So, the router debuts didn't go quite so well as hoped, although some were nice.
Leave A Whisper did nicely in her first route race. The winner was Isawherstandnthere, who gave a monster effort and finished in 1:44.30. Whisper's speed figure was a tidy 75. Ironically, the filly that finished behind her was very closely related to the best mare I've owned, Accused Dreamer (Radee - Sway, by Loki Dynasty). Radee Report, third in Whisper's race, is a daughter of Radee out of a daughter of Sway.
She's Always Right won her 6 1/2 furlong allowance for the second win of her career. The little gal went to her knees at the start, settled just off the pace, and came home well for speed figure of 70 and a nice final time of 1:14.14.
Prairie Moon was fifth in her maiden race. She had the misfortune of being a speed horse in a race where the only speed that held was the winner, who is probably going to be freakishly good. At the second call, there was the winner leading and four more fillies just behind her within a length and a half of each other. All four faded, though Prairie Moon held on the best of the bunch. Next time out, we're going to hope for not quite so much speed.
Ashandarei and Itty Bitty Pretty are both making their debuts on Monday. Their races are full and some really tough fillies are up against them. I think Ashandarei is still toward the head of the class in her race, but we'll only see once they run. And I don't know if Bitty has a prayer against Leigh Ann's filly in her race. Eep!
Diamond Eyed is still being difficult about her equipment. Her most recent work in 46.76 is less than encouraging. She's just a finicky brat.
Edziza is still lighting up the workout boards, clocking a 57.83 for her most recent work. I received a message expressing interest in purchasing her, but she is absolutely not for sale for any price at the moment.
Paperback Novel inexplicably slowed down from her last work by 2/5 of a second. Hopefully it's just that she was a little off this morning and not that she's actually slowing down.

Why the Bitty Fillies?
Because they're so darn cute, that's why! Hasn't anyone ever noticed that dynamite comes in small packages? Besides, I've noticed that just about all of my "good fillies" are teensy. And in real life, you've got great bitty fillies like Goldikova, Xtra Heat, Dark Mirage, etc. No, I can't think of any more off the top of my head, but they were all cool as hell.
Oh yeah, and I get bored easily.
So, without further ado, let me introduce you to the Bitty Filly Troupe:
Ashandarei 2 b. f. 15.1hh Persevere - Fuzzy Dice, by Duke
- Teensy dirt router filly with a kickass name. Kudos if you know where the name came from and how it connects to her parents' names. Fastest works in 58.21 and 1:10.31. Entered to debut in Florida on Week 11 Monday. I really liked her chances until I saw Ara's and Janena's fillies. Eep!
Awaken The Sun 3 b. f. 15hh Stay Awake - Last Setting Sun, by Change The Past
- Even tinier three-year-old with a crazy nice pedigree - granddaughter of the late, great Shalevet Pass. Won her first start for my barn impressively with an equipment change, then completely flopped. What next? Maybe blinkers just aren't the right stuff for her, and we're trying something new Week 11 Friday in her NW2.
Diamond Eyed 1 ch. f. 15.1hh Liquid Gold - Cradle Robber, by American Baby
- For some reason, I picture this little blaze-faced filly as the fiercest of the bunch. Not sure why. A "wings" galloper that is working almost as fast as some "wows" that I've seen, and she's daggone contrary. Three straight works in 46.28 with different equipment combos. It's going to be a bear to figure out what she really wants.
Edziza 1 ch. f. 15hh Grindelwald - Fuzzy Dice, by Duke
- I owned a filly named Edziza on another game that rocked my socks, so it's only fitting that Edziza in the SIM is the fastest filly I've ever owned. She's hit the top yearling works so far this year with a blazing 57.74. Teeny, cute (who can resist a chestnut nose with a snip on it?) and a mint hog (do you know how many comments of "More please!" I get?), who wouldn't love little Eddy?
Fancy Her Kiss 1 ch. f. 15.1hh Highly Regarded - Accused Dreamer, by Radee
- Oh, look, it's Eddy's twin, just an inch taller. And a little slower, unfortunately. "Fancy" is out of my awesome race mare Accused Dreamer and by Art's Highly Regarded, so when we're in week 10 and her best work is 58.42, it's a little disappointing. Oh, well, she's still cool.
Itty Bitty Pretty 2 blk. f. 15hh Feat - Quietly, by Deep Impact
- Yup, she's the ORIGINAL bitty filly, the one that started all the craziness that is here before you now. She is an ADD child and needs blinkers AND ear muffs, apparently, and is a little lazy in the mornings (a "wow" working slower than some of my "wings" fillies, that is). We'll just have to see how she runs.
Law of Attraction 1 b. f. 15hh Scientist - Cover Girl, by Feature Attraction
- Neat A- cross for steeplechasing. She won't see the track for a looong time. Is she four yet? Although I have to wonder if something that short can really fly over the hurdles...

Regardless, she's quick (58.08 and 1:10.15) and ready to rock in her first route start this Friday.

- First ever Sage bitty filly! She surprised me with her fast works (59.16 and 1:10.68). My pretty little gal is making her debut on Friday at Adolescent Acres. Go Moon!

- Drool-worthy pedigree and some really nice works, she broke her maiden very nicely but is apparently not stakes caliber. That's okay, she's still the best turf sprinter I've ever owned and the only one I bothered keeping in my barn. Oh, and yippee for naming fillies after songs - this is another one. Kudos if you can pick out all of the song-related names in here!
Sing Me Back Home 4 b. f. 15.2hh Trafalgar - Parlas, by Atlas
- Yup, she probably popularized the Trafalgar x Atlas cross big time. There's quite a few of them now, including my own very fast Gibraltar. She's also my first homebred wow, a graded stakes winner, and has run the second fastest speed figure of any horse from my barn to date. *feeds mints and almost loses fingers* Spoiled little brat.
Sky Afire 2 blk. f. 15hh&nbs; Wind In The Sage - Laud, by Tears of Triumph
- Another Sage bitty filly - which makes her doubly cool - little Sky has rapidly become one of my faves. Once she turned two, her works got faster, and she is now her sire's first winner. She's entered in the Born Wild Stakes against only two other fillies. Wish us luck!

- Love, love, love this mare. Won once for me after purchase, then I retired her two starts later. I'm just no good at figuring out what equipment these difficult horses need darnit! As a broodmare, she is the dam of two more of the Bitty Fillies troupe: Prairie Moon and Paperback Novel, both two of the fastest turf fillies I've ever owned. *pets*
Crowning Victory 11 dkb. m. 15.2hh Loki Dynasty - Breathtaking, by Mineshaft
- She wasn't a fast racehorse and hasn't been a star producer yet, but some of her foals are lightly raced (if at all) and/or by weird sires that I hate with a Loki Dynasty mare. Daughter Tale of Victory who I also own is a really nice one. You can't beat a half sister to Future Legend, Accmplished, and Magnificent Move, though.
History 11 gr. m. 15.2hh American Baby - Little Ghost, by Ghostzapper
- Drool over that dirt mile pedigree, I tell you, drool! (Okay, so it's not quite THAT good, but it's still nice.) It helps that she's a stakes producer and her three-year-old filly by Lion just won an allowance with a speed figure of 74. And she's gray. All the teeny gray ones are the prettiest.
Katie Scarlet 10 blk. m. 15.1hh The Wilding - Scarlett O'Hara, by The Scarlet Nite
- Neat, neat pedigree, and throwing some decent foals. Solid female family. What's not to like at least a little bit?
La Querida 6 b. m. 15.2hh Acapulco - Arrowette, by Super Light
- Another neat pedigree - by Acapulco out of champion Arrowette, and weirdly hypomating well for 'chasing even though the BSA says that's a no go. Daughter Arrowind looks like she might be something nice once her equipment is all figured out.
Of A Revolution 6 dkb. m. 15.2hh Duke - Royal Pardon, by Prince
- One of my favorite mares. She's not a superstar, but I don't care. Neat 2x3 inbreeding to Crown in her pedigree. One of my homebreds, she won four races for me. Somewhere in between, she was claimed away, then I got her back from AJ a little later. I'm glad I did, her first start back was a win, and she won once more and was second twice in her next four before being retired.

- Very cool mare that somehow wound up with AJ. Her Blood Horse filly actually seemed really, really nice but never had equipment put on her and was only given three starts on the track despite some fast works. Her first foal for me was a stakes filly by Edward Cullen so she's definitely a thousand bucks well spent!

- One of my very early in the game purchases before I knew what the hell to look for in a pedigree. But Atlas mares are nice, and this one is the dam of my first ever homebred "wow", Sing Me Back Home, so I'm a little attached to her. Her son Lord of Chaos was also useful, and her two most recent sons Smug and Wait for the World look like they will be also.
Strong Minded 9 b. m. 15hh Braveheart - Read Your Thoughts, by Chinese Bandit
- Another AJ purchase-turned-wow-producer, this mare game me the wickedly fast Strength Within by Hurricane. I can't wait to see what her Just Victory filly is going to be like. She's also neat because she's a great-granddaughter of Blanket of Roses and her dam is a half sister to Thank You.
Tried Ingood Faith 8 b. m. 15.1hh Braveheart - Her She Secrets, by Worth Fighting For
- She's another one, too. AJ purchase-turned-wow-producer, that is. I bought her, raced her long enough to get a win under her belt, and then retired her to breed. First foal by Heed The Warning did not impress, second by War Daddy has some fast works but disappointing results, has a decent two-year-old by Henry The Sixth. None are worse than wings, by the way, but then she threw Shalafein, my first wow dirt router male.
Vulcanus Rex 6 blk. m. 15hh Fable - Sugar Mama Song, by Fighter Jet
- Granddaughter of Sway makes her some kind of niece of Dreamer's. She was a two-time winner and stakes placed on the track. Seems to like studs with more stamina (at least, in this amateur's mind, she does).
